Stop the regional tax in the ports of Ortona and Pescara

An important result has been obtained in recent days for the Abruzzo port world: the stop to the regional tax for concessions issued by the Port System Authority in the ports of Ortona and Pescara has been formalized, a provision put in black and white with a lot of law regional.
A concrete act of support to entrepreneurs of the sea that also involves the port company Buonefra, present for decades in the Ortona port and always at the forefront for the long-term growth and development of a strategic area such as that of the port of Ortona, a true point of reference for integrated logistics for the Abruzzo region and central Italy.

Political parts and developments

The provision saw the involvement of all the political parties, starting with the M5S regional councilor Francesco Taglieri, first signatory of the bill, up to the President of the Regional Council Lorenzo Sospiri and the Forza Italia parent company Mauro Febbo, passing through the M5S parent company Sara Marcozzi and the M5S Director Pietro Smargiassi.
The approval of the measure by a very large majority is a symptom of how the intervention was urgent and of how Abruzzo too had to take a clear position on an age-old issue like this.

Taglieri's comment

“It was necessary - comments the director Taglieri - as other regions have already done, that Abruzzo also took a clear position on this issue. In fact, on this tax there are different assessments from region to region: some that require payment, while others do not. Among these are the Marche - points out - where the Port System Authority of Abruzzo ports is based. I therefore considered it logical to move the inertia that had been going on for too many years and to ensure that, even in the ports of our territory that are under the control of this authority, we do not have to pay an extra tax ".
At the conclusion of the note, the Regional Councilor Taglieri highlights: “Having completed, in a short time, even the last step with the approval of the Regional Council was what we wanted and for which we have worked for a long time. Now Abruzzo has one more weapon to give concrete support to the economic fabric of the territory ".
