Update of port regulatory plans, resource management and digitalisation in the new organic plan aimed at the ports of Marche and Abruzzo approved on 20 July

An organic plan suitable for facing the new challenges of the Adriatic Sea Port System Authority was approved on 20 July, to offer an increasingly efficient service to the operators and communities of the seven ports under its jurisdiction in Marche and Abruzzo.

There are several challenges to be faced by the ADSP in the coming years. Together with the expansion of skills with the entry of the port of Vasto, there is the implementation of the system strategic planning document, with the updating of the individual port regulatory plans, the management and planning of the interventions to be carried out with over 200 million resources from the PNRR and Port supplementary fund, the completion of digital transition of the Institution.

Investments and skills at the service of ports

In building the new organizational model, the Port System Authority aims to strengthen the structures with the inclusion of new professionals with specific and ideal skills for the objectives to be achieved; resources to complement the consolidated experience and preparation of existing staff.

19 internal progressions and 23 new hires to aim for qualified professional growth, the Adsp has also chosen to eliminate 8 4th level positions by converting them into higher management levels. Some offices have also been reorganized for better work management. The document now passes to the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport for analysis for final approval.

The future depends on the overall growth of the Adriatic port system

“Today's approval by the Management Committee of the organic plant is a fundamental step for the growth of our Institution and for the work we must produce to achieve our mission, with an Adsp characterized by important investments and a need for strengthening to face an increasingly complex and lively market – comments the president of the Central Adriatic Sea Port System Authority, Vincent Garofalo -. We are now submitting the approved proposal to the Ministry for relevant assessments. Subsequently we will continue with the process of valorising our collaborators and then with the inclusion of the new figures we will need to satisfy the need to offer services, in perspective, increasingly adequate to the requests of the maritime cluster and port communities".
